Overview

3dprosolutions is a small company, specializing in architecture, interior and exterior design.

Why 

This is one of my friends web site, made without professional help. I wanted to make it more interesting, visually appealing and emphasizing great work this company does.

Design overview

What is working:

•            General layout is ok.

Problem areas:

•            Layout of the content area is a bit chaotic, with some parts misaligned.

•            Color schema needs some improvement.

•            Site has only a company name with no logo.

•            Navigation - main menu metaphor is not clear.

•            Visual – site looks flat, elements corners are too sharp.

Proposed changes

Company logo. I designed new logo for this company. My logo improves professional image of the web site.

Color schema. Colors are redefined to provide better overall contrast and to improve metaphor for the buttons and icons.

Improving navigation.  Improved main menu, made it more visible. It will have a hover effect to improve metaphor. Bottom menu will be used for connection with social media.

Showcase improvement. Added more visual elements to emphasize images.

Content area layout redesign. Content blocks are better organized with clearer look. Added ‘Our mission’ block give more information about company to the visitors.

Visual improvement.  Changed site visual appeal to be more 3d. Added more visual depth.

New web layout for 3dProSolutions company:

Here are my ideas for the web site improvements:

• Layout will not be changed but few items needs to be added -
• Logo on the black to the top header 
• Add some welcome text, portfolio and about text with some image.
• Main page navigation may benefit from adding categories - with example of images of Industrial, Residential or some other category. 
• Main page will benefit from slogan or short mission statement.
• Visual improvements:
• Emphasize slide-show images, make larger thumbnails and put them inside a frame or something like a inside computer display or laptop or iPad.
• Add some shadows (like to the gray box with slide show), gradients to make overall look more 3d than flat.
•  Metaphors
• Menu on the top - make selection visible like inverse block
• Each page needs an icon next to the page title, like "Portfolio", "About" 
• Bottom footer - add contact icons  - RSS,Twitter, Facebook, G+, Email
